BENEFIT 356: Engaging in sinful acts to promote the Da’wah
Sheikh Ibn ’Uthaymeen (may Allāh have mercy on him) strikes the following example:
"If there is a military camp or any other field that lacks righteous individuals/reformers who teach people the rulings of their religion, and working in this place is only allowed for those who shave their beards, should I shave my beard and engage in da'wah in this environment, or should I completely avoid it?
Avoid it…
Had the questioners been more transparent in presenting their inquiry—clearly explaining that they manage a charity organisation and travel from town to town collecting funds—the Sheikh might have given a different response.
I mention this because when Sheikh Salīm visited Dar Al-Hadith in Dammaj from the 22nd to the 24th of Jumada Al-Thani, 1430 AH, he stated:
«أما الجمعيات فمن وإن بواقعها وإن أسست على مبدأ…
1. We cooperate in what we agree upon
2. We excuse each other in what we differ over
Regarding the First Part:
Sheikh Albani, may Allāh have mercy on him, stated:
«نحن لا نشك بأن شطرًا من هذه الكلمة صواب، وهو: (نتعاون على ما اتفقنا عليه). الجملة الأولى هي - طبعًا - مقتبسة من قوله تعالى: ﴿وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْبَرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى﴾»
"We have no doubt that part of this statement is correct, namely: ‘We…
BENEFIT 355: The Golden Principle of #Ikhwan_Muslimoon
"We cooperate in what we agree upon, and we excuse each other in what we differ over."
▪️Origin of this Principle:
This principle, expressed in this form, was first introduced by Rashīd Riḍha, the founder of the Islamic journal 'Al-Manār' and the author of 'At-Tafsīr'. It was frequently cited by Hassan Al-Banna, the founder of #The_Muslim_Brotherhood, in…

Reflection: When Ikhwanis love someone, they elevate him to the seventh heaven; but when they despise him, they cast him into the lowest depths of the earth!
Discussion:
-> Salafi: ’Uthmān Al-Khamīs has manhaj issues and leans towards Surūriyyah. He needs to repent and rectify his errors.
-> Ikhwani: Al-’Allāmah ’Uthmān Al-Khamīs is a great scholar, a reformer, a faqeeh...while you are a Madkhali from the sect of excessive criticism—an agent of the CIA and a servant of the Ṭawāgheet!
A few days later…
-> ’Uthmān Al-Khamīs: In my view, Hamas is a deviant group and…
BENEFIT 354: What is the ruling on charity organisations if they are free from evils–since this is a point frequently raised by some, who claim that charity organisations are only impermissible if the
Sheikh Yūsuf Al-Jazaa’iri hafidahullāh said:
Our response is that this claim is not accepted. The answer to this and similar objections is that the assumption that charity organisations are entirely free from evils is purely hypothetical, a conceptual construct with no actual existence in reality! 📌
Furthermore, it can be said to them that there is no charity organisation that does not contain some degree of…
May Allāh have mercy on Abul-Ḥasan ’Ali ibn Abdil-’Azīz Al-Jurjāni, who said in his Meemiyyah:
يَقُولُونَ لِي فِيكَ انْقِبَاضٌ وَإِنَّمَا ... رَأَوْا رَجُلًا عَنْ مَوْقِفِ الذُّلِّ أَحْجَمَا
They say I am reserved and withdrawn, but in truth,
They have only seen a man who refuses to stand in a place of humiliation.
I see that those who lower themselves are belittled by others,
While those who uphold…
And He said about Prophet Lūṭ (peace be upon him): "The people of Lūṭ denied the messengers. When their brother Lūṭ said to them: ‘Will you not fear Allāh? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
And He said about Prophet Shu‘ayb (peace be upon him): "The residents of Al-Aikah [near Madyan] belied the Messengers. When Shu‘ayb said to them: ‘Will you not fear Allāh? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear Allāh and obey me. And I do not ask you for any reward for it; my reward is only from the Lord of the worlds.’" [Ash-Shu’ara: 176-180]
Allāh the Almighty also said: "And there came from the…
BENEFIT 353: Didn't Sheikh Ibn Bāz establish a charity organisation?!
Sheikh Abū Bakr Al-Ḥammādi ḥafidhahullāh said:
"...As for Sheikh Ibn Bāz, may Allāh have mercy on him, having some involvement with charity organisations, this is unrelated to what we are discussing. Sheikh Ibn Baz, may Allāh have mercy on him, was not a beggar who went from place to place or from one merchant to another collecting money. He was not someone who distributed envelopes among businessmen or demeaned…
BENEFIT 352: Charity organisations have been tried and proven unsuccessful!
Questioner: A group of youth consulted some students of knowledge and obtained fatwas permitting charity organisations. We would like a brief warning on this matter.
I have already clarified this. No charity organisation has ever been established under the name of Salafiyyah without ultimately failing. The truly fortunate are those who take…
A single righteous student, blessed by Allāh, may bring immense benefit to Islam, but a person who engages in sin while attempting to serve Islam will ultimately gain nothing. This is not a new phenom
May Allāh keep us firm upon the truth, protect us from deviation, and grant us steadfastness upon His guidance.

BENEFIT 351: Is establishing charity organisations really necessary (ضرورة)?
Question: This is a question from someone stating that the authorities in their country have imposed strict regulations on centres with more than fifteen students, requiring them to be officially registered. However, registration is only granted if the center operates under a charity organisation. The questioner also mentioned that without such registration, they are denied passports, certain necessary medical…
BENEFIT 350: I am not aware of any charity organisation truly aligned with the manhaj of the pious predecessors
Sheikh Sulaymān Ar-Ruhaili وفقه الله says:
In truth, I have been asked a question regarding groups and charity organisations within the Salafi framework. I must say that the experience with such charity organisations and groups has been a bitter one. Undoubtedly, hizbees have taken this path as their foundation—forming networks, charity organisations, and groups. Some Salafis have also entered this domain under…
BENEFIT 349: How some scholars categorise "charity organisations"
Question: May Allāh reward you with goodness. This is a frequently asked question: What is the ruling on establishing associations in non-Muslim countries for the purpose of da'wah and managing the affairs of Muslims?
Sheikh Sulaymān Ar-Ruhaili
What appears to me, and Allāh knows best, is the following:
Firstly, associations are of two types:
The first type consists of charitable organisations…
BENEFIT 348: Charity organisation Vs. Cooperation in righteousness and piety(1)
Question: These days, some tribes or villages gather funds, particularly from expatriates, to allocate them for the benefit of their village or as they see fit. They establish committees with representatives from each tribe and name them after their respective tribe or village. Is this permissible?
Sheikh Yahya ḥafidahullāh:
They should avoid this practice. However, If an individual is in need and people come…
Commentary on the Fatwa of Sheikh Ghudayyān raḥimahullāh
This fatwa by ’Abdullāh ibn Ghudayyān raḥimahullāh is being used to justify the permissibility of establishing charity organisations.
Let us take a closer look, as people, in their eagerness to find a fatwa that supports their views, may sometimes overlook its context.
The term "charity organisation" can have multiple usages depending on the context or intention of the speaker.(1)
It is possible that Sheikh…
Commentary on Sheikh Muhammad Hishām At-Tahiri's Fatwa
Assuming the translation is accurate, this fatwa is divided into two parts:
First Part: "Not Everything the Hizbis Do is Haram"
Certainly not. They are Muslims, which means they uphold Tawheed, pray, fast, give Zakah, and may even engage in voluntary acts of worship.
The issue raised concerns the stance of scholars in our time—such as Sheikh Rabee', Sheikh Muqbil, Sheikh Yahya, Sheikh Sulayman Ar-Ruhaili,…

These are ten reflections, each introduced by an Āyah or a ḥadīth that applies to the condition of the people in question. I have presented them in this manner and style, hoping that Allāh, the Almighty, will make them beneficial for those afflicted by this trial and tribulation. I ask Allāh to grant us all repentance and to make us aware of our own faults, for He is All-Hearing and Ever-Near.

The Tenth and Final Reflection: The Virtue of Recognising and Repenting from one's Mistakes
Evidences:
Allāh says: "˹They (the good-doers) are˺ those who, upon committing an evil deed or wronging themselves, remember Allāh and seek forgiveness for their sins—and who forgives sins except Allāh?—and they do not knowingly persist in wrongdoing?" [Sūrah Āli-ʿImrān: 135]

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Every Ummah has a fitnah, and the fitnah of my Ummah is wealth." [Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, ḥadīth number 2336, from Ka’b ibn ’Iyāḍh Al-Ash’ari, may Allāh be pleased with him]
He ﷺ also said: "But I fear for you that the world will be spread out before you, as it was spread out for those who came before you. You will compete for it as they competed, and it will destroy you as it…
Eighth Reflection: Support and defense of wrongdoers
Evidences:
Allāh Almighty said: "And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Surely Allāh does not like those who are deceitful, sinful." [Sūrah An-Nisāʾ: 107]
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Souls are like gathered troops. Those who are familiar with each other will have an affinity with one another, while those who are opposed to each other will also be divergent." [Reported by Bukhāri from ’Ā'ishah, and…
